ok... upon requests of ex classmates etc etc...
I graduated from GjR in 1954..
Went back to Rochester NY.. married in 1956.. had my firstborn in 1958. Remarried in 1961. Had a daughter and a son by 1962,, busy being a homemaker and raising kids. Active in Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts and sold Avon on the side for pocket money. Finally was recognized for my abilities ... Became a Dist. Mgr for Avon in 1977. That was a big deal. lOTS OF MONEY, PRESTIGE AND TRAVEL .. to France a few times to England, to the west coast etc etc. Good job. But Sales is a draining!!! and finally it was too much for my little head and as successful as I was I HAD to leave. Went on disability and finally retired from ther a few years ago. In the meantime I was vrey active in the community as an Environmental Activist. Director of SPOC .. to save our county from Landfills along the Erie/Barge Canal in NYS. troom with an Advocate Judge from the DEC. We won the case and the County was SPARED!! YEAAAAA. It won me many plaudits from the community .. but many people were involved not just me. the Rotary Club bestowed upon me the Paul Harris award. That was a highlight and made my efforts worthwhile. I have been active in teaching a 4 - 6 ages group at church. I love little kids... I thrive on that.
Now.. I am breathing slowly and trying to get by day by day after being diagnosed with Lung Cancer this past Feb. I have had surgery and chemo and waiting to see what the outcome will be. Right now I am on a nebulizer by day and o2 at nite. But. that does not put me down. I am up and about and I do what I want to do when I want to do it. I am fun and happy and I love life and God has given me a blessing.
Enought said.... hope this is enougth for 'my story' and I hope to see you all in 2005 at the Reunion!!!
